POSTAL IDENTIFICATION MATCHING SOLUTION

OPT2VOTE, BUILDING ON ITS ELECTION EXPERTISE AND ETHOS OF INNOVATION, HAS LAUNCHED ITS POSTAL IDENTIFIER MATCHING SOLUTION (PIMS).
PIMS addresses the requirements of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 regarding regarding the verification of postal vote signature and date of birth.
Why rely on a subjective view on the signature presented? Allow OPT2VOTE’s automated service to supply a consistent method of verification and a fully auditable record of the process.
PIMS is offered either as a fully independent managed service or as part of the Postal Vote Management Solution.
The solution compares the voter’s signature and date of birth on the postal vote statement against the original reference signature and date of birth. The Local Authority can set an acceptance threshold for matching identifiers and this must be reached for the identifiers to be deemed as valid. The threshold is variable, only identifiers falling below the threshold set will be returned for manual adjudication.
The OPT2VOTE Postal Identification Matching Solution provides:
- Fully Automated verification of signatures
- Fully Automated verification of Dates of Birth
- Fast, efficient and accurate solution
- Local Authority discretion for setting the acceptance threshold for matching
- Full audit trail of the decision process
- Consistent application of rules for verification process
