Senior & Junior Developers - Full-time
OPT2VOTE are now looking to recruit developers with a range of skills and experience to help deliver its next generation of products.
Job Purpose:
The candidates should have practical experience in IT and development with a good understanding of the software lifecycle. They must be able to work well within a small team, interact well with customers and be able to work to and meet aggressive timelines.
Senior developers should have at least 5 years working in a commercial environment and preferably have team leading experience.
Junior developers should have between 1 & 2 years development experience also in a commercial environment, with an ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
The OPT2VOTE software team provides support and enhancement delivery to the existing product set and are looking to expand this product set in several exciting areas.
The positions involve (relative to experience):
- Maintaining existing application suite
- Developing robust code for new applications
- Unit testing module deliveries to a high standard
- Providing delivery timeline estimates for development cycles
- Designing highly efficient user interfaces
- Analyzing, selecting and implementing new technologies
- Providing architecture design input for new solutions
Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following languages is essential:
-Java
-C++
-SQL
- C# .NET
-Perl
Use of a source control tool (SVN or Windows SourceSafe)
Desirable: Encryption technologies, image processing experience, GoogleGears or SQLLite
Competencies
-Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
-Good team working skills and ability to work in a team environment.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-Self-motivated with determination to achieve goals.
-Flexible and able to deliver quality results in the required timeframe.
-Experience in full lifecycle development.
